My first Influenster! Palmolive® soft touch™

So a little while back I received an invite to Influenster from  Lindsey of the Accidental Wildflower blog. Last week I received my first product to try! I received this product complimentory from Influenster and all opinions are my own. I got Palmolive Soft Touch Vitamin E and Coconut Butter dish soap. I gave the coconut butter version to my friend. I've always been a Blue Dawn girl and recently I tried a Trader Joe's brand but haven't really been liking it so this came at the perfect time!

I've been using it for about a week now and I can say it definitely does the job of keeping your hands soft, like it boasts. There slogan is "Tough on grease, soft on hands" and I would say that its spot on! With a baby I wash my hands more often than I used to and definitely have been struggling with dry hands for the last 5 months.

One thing Levi pointed out was it smells like 'wet dog' but I think that's just because it smells similar to the dog shampoo we use. Not that it's a bad thing, I buy it cause I like the smell.

You can get it at walmart (http://www.walmart.com/ip/Ultra-Palmolive-Soft-Touch-Dish-Liquid-With-Vitamin-E-25-oz/16777620)

And check out what other Influensters are saying about the product here (http://www.influenster.com/review/palmolive-soft-touch)

May Citrus Lane Box

After receiving our April box last month I was super super excited for May! It couldn't come soon enough. We got it the other day and of course I immediately dropped everything I was doing to open it with Caden!

1. Dapple Dish Liquid - This is designed to be safe for baby dishes, bottles, plastic toys, etc. It's plant-based and removes odor and residue from formula and breast milk. It's dioxane, paraben, phthalate, SLES and dye free. I gave it a try and it definitely does the trick! We were using Medela quick clean and we were not impressed so I'm glad to get to try out something new! I also got a kick out of the label! It's hard to read in the picture but it says "Dapple is a cleaner, not an iced tea, so don't drink it, if accidently..."

2. Mommy's Bliss Gripe Water - This is something we actually used to use all the time. But we don't use it anymore. It helps to get rid of the hiccups but I was never really impressed with its claim to settle upset stomachs or colic. It also claims to help with teething but we haven't tried it with that yet. I don't want this to go to waste though, so I plan on giving it to a friend that still uses it. I would use it for hiccups but it still would go to waste because it goes bad 6 weeks after you open it and Caden doesn't get the hiccups THAT often.

3. Bear Takes a Trip - It's a book, can't go wrong there! We haven't really introduced books too much yet but I was planning on it soon. So as soon as we opened this I read it to Caden. It's perfect with the bright colors! Also this book will teach him about time when he's quite a bit older.

4. My First Green Toys First Keys - It was quite the coincidence that we received these, a couple weeks ago I saw a different set of baby keys at the store and thought about buying them but talked myself out of it. Then the day before Levi had said "This is the only baby that doesn't care about keys" (while shaking his keys in Caden's face) LOL! So I thought they would be a bust, but nope! He LOVES them. He's in this stage for flailing his arm around while holding toys so theses make a TON of noise! They're made in the USA out of recycled milk jugs and contain no BPA, phthalates, or PVC.

5. The Mommy Hook - Last but certainly not least, this was Citrus Lane's "Mother's Day gift". While appreciate the gesture it would have been nice to get something pampering maybe? Oh well! I know I'll get a lot of use out of the Mommy Hook because I have a cheap-o version that I use often! (pictured to the right)

Overall, I'm super happy again with our box! And will continue our subscription! If anyone is interested in trying Citrus Lane and getting $10 off their first box use this link! https://www.citruslane.com/invitedby/citrus.lane.672367

Caden at 2 months!

This little boy is getting so big! Before I know it he's going to be walking and riding a bike! He's already quite the chatterbox, We're never going to shut him up, but that's alright.

The most common question we get (like most new parents) is... Is he sleeping through the night? And my answer is different every time I'm asked. Most nights well get him down between 9 and 10 pm and he'll then wake up between 2 and 4 for a feed. But on 'bad' nights he'll be up at 12, 2, 4... But I can't complain because he isn't up for very long during those times.

He's quite the charmer this one! He's got smiling down to a science and he even adds in a cute little wiggle or eyelash bat along with it to melt your heart even more. Daddy says he's going to be able to get away with murder with Mommy. I think I'll be able to stand my ground but it's going to be difficult! LOL.

One of Caden's favorite daily activities is standing while Mommy or Daddy helps him balance. He's getting quite good at checking his balance and we really only have to be there to catch him when he turns into a wet noodle. He's like one of those wooden toys where you push the button on the bottom and the whole thing goes limp.

According to the Wii balance board this little chunk is over 12lbs now, we'll find out a official weight tomorrow at our 2 month well baby check up. UPDATE: 12lbs 7.5oz and 24.5 inches long 16in head!!

The boober decided she wanted in on the attention and Caden was OK with it at first but then he decided enough was enough. (she was sitting on his foot!)

Here's a quick comparison to last month

A day in the Life of Caden

Today was just an average day in the life of Caden :-)

He took a nap in his crib! (instead of everywhere else in the house)
Thanks for the super comfy homemade blankey Great Aunt Daryll!

We had some tummy time

And some spit!

Then we got frustrated and played on our back.

We even played with a toy today!! (more like tried to eat it)
